Rod Sobral is a branding expert and creative leader established at the forefront of AI-driven marketing - helping brands to drive growth through groundbreaking human creativity and technology. Over the past three decades, Rod has created culture-defining ideas and digital platforms for brands such as Nike, Google, Heineken, Unilever, Bayer, Diageo and Beats by Dr. Dre, among others, earning recognition from every major industry award, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clio, LIA, Effie's, alongside Agency of the Year wins and multiple Creative Leader of the Year nominations. At Nike, he spearheaded the development of Nike Football's digital and social ecosystem and led the European launch of Nike+, securing the brand's first-ever Titanium Lion. For Google, he transformed 'Year In Search' into a multi-award-winning global engagement platform and delivered the brand's most effective campaign to date. His creative leadership for Beats by Dr. Dre attracted international press attention and produced some of the decade's most iconic TV ads - culminating in Campaign naming it the "World's Most Creative Partnership" in 2016 and positioning his Beats work at the heart of Apple's $3 billion acquisition. Today, as Global Chief Creative Officer at OLIVER, Rod leads a global network of over 5,000 people, including the multi-award-winning U-Studio (5-time Campaign Global In-House Agency of the Year). Under his leadership, OLIVER has quadrupled in size and achieved unprecedented creative success, with 26 Agency of the Year awards and top creative rankings in the UK, South Africa, Argentina, and Asia.
