Jerome

Uber

When Jerome Austria joined Uber's international team eight years ago, former colleagues called it a mistake. Uber's reputation had become difficult to defend, but Jerome found an inspiring creative team doing work far beyond what the company's image suggested. Today, as Executive Creative Director for Uber's international markets and global trust and reputation, he oversees agency partnerships across Uber's biggest markets and leads large-scale in-house creative work, including the flagship On Our Way campaign, all part of a multi-year brand transformation.

For the first time, On Our Way gave Uber's mobility and delivery businesses a shared creative platform, built on a simple insight: reliability is Uber's functional truth, but it enables something more human. Under Jerome's guidance, the platform's second chapter, launched last summer, drove strong results: 98% positive social sentiment, up 8% YOY, and standout scores for brand affinity and likability. Uber's Interbrand value climbed 38% in a single year, landing the company at #64 in 2025.

That same leadership extends to Global Transit, an out of home campaign built with Mother UK and expanded worldwide by the in-house team, and Uber's annual World Economic Forum activation in Davos.

Jerome's EMEA team has grown 33% in the past year, with just one voluntary departure in eight years, a reflection of his hands-on approach to developing creative talent and building a culture spanning multiple nationalities.

The proof of his impact: a London recruiter who once struggled to fill roles says candidates are eager to join his team.
